Zion National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park
Capitol Reef National Park
Arches National Park
Canyonlands National Park

These five national parks are special for us...we have visited the area seven times just to be mesmerized by the beautiful scenery and formations.   The history of this land is what brings us back so many times.  Over the years we have been visiting the parks have become ever more popular and very crowded.   Getting into the parks can be difficult and getting parking places at the sights can be problematic.

I was impressed by how many young parents were bringing their children hiking on the trails.   Many foreigners were visiting with bus tours which also added to crowds in the park during the day.   Where possibly, staying in the parks in lodges, cottages and campsites is an excellent way to be "alone" in the park after the crowds have subsided.
